Quantity Surveyor & Construction Procurement Specialist
About this position
The Quantity Surveyor & Construction Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing cost estimation, procurement strategies, supplier oversight, risk management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
• Lead the preparation of precise cost estimates and detailed project budgets.
• Oversee cost management throughout the project lifecycle to ensure financial targets are met, providing insightful adjustments where necessary.
• Develop and execute effective procurement strategies.
• Identify and collaborate with top-tier suppliers and subcontractors, negotiating competitive contracts to secure high-quality materials and services aligned with project timelines and budget.
• Manage supplier performance and contract compliance, ensuring all agreements are adhered to.
• Handle changes or additional project requirements smoothly, renegotiating terms as needed to meet evolving project demands.
• Identify potential risks related to cost, delivery, and quality early on, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all procured materials and services meet or exceed project quality standards.
• Monitor and analyze project costs consistently, delivering accurate reports and forecasts to keep stakeholders informed.
• Actively seek cost-saving opportunities while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in quantity surveyor and construction procurement.
• Strong skills in cost management, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A team player who can collaborate across departments effectively.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative to achieve goals.
• Good math skill and detail oriented.
• Can communicate in English.
• Work 6 days per week (Depending on site conditions).
