Hongsa Power Co.,Ltd is a joint venture US$3.7 billion, 1,878 MW lignite-fired power plant in Hongsa District, Sayabouly province, The business is a lignite mining and electricity generation facilities on a 70 square km, more than 300 km from Vientiane Capital yet only 35 km from Nan province, Thailand. The power plant will have 3 units, 626 MW each, and it is expected to start commercial operation by 2015. Hongsa Power Co.,Ltd is a shared enterprise from Ratchaburi Holding with 40%, Banpu Power Co., Ltd. with 40% and LHSE with 20%. The company is a result of a effort to address the increases in demand for electricity as well as to stimulate the socio – economic development.

About this position

ตำแหน่ง Senior Officer - Geotechnical Monitoring จะรับผิดชอบในการเตรียมข้อมูลภาคสนามและการดำเนินการตรวจสอบความมั่นคงของผนังหลุมในโรงไฟฟ้า Hongsa เพื่อให้แน่ใจว่ามีความปลอดภัยและมีประสิทธิภาพในการดำเนินงาน.

Responsibilities

• Prepare field data as updated geotechnical drilling in the Main Pit and the Waste Dump, collect soil/coal/rock cored sample for laboratory testing for basic properties and shear strength parameter for preparation geotechnical database.
• Prepare field data as updated horizontal drilling on the north pit wall slope of the Main Pit and install horizontal drain completely as time schedule.
• Arrange groundwater well, observation well and pumping test completely as time schedule to determine hydrogeological parameter.
• Operate and maintain geotechnical instruments, i.e. Robotic Total Station (RST), slope stability Radar to monitor pit wall stability of the Main Pit and the Waste Dump.
• Perform on the job training on "Operate and Maintenance Real Time Slope Monitoring System Efficiently" to local geotechnical crews.
• Participate to fulfill environmental and safety management systems, which are ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher of Science in geotechnical / Geology / or related field.
• Have TOEIC score s more than 500 scores.
• 3-5 years of work experience in geotechnical evaluation and slope stability analysis, geotechnical pit mapping, geotechnical borehole logging. Preferable in Power plant, Mining operation or energy sector.
• Proactive, watchful and good coordination skill with attention to details.
• Good command of English and computer skill, especially AutoCad, Mining Software, Microsoft Office.
