Hongsa Power Co.,Ltd is a joint venture US$3.7 billion, 1,878 MW lignite-fired power plant in Hongsa District, Sayabouly province, The business is a lignite mining and electricity generation facilities on a 70 square km, more than 300 km from Vientiane Capital yet only 35 km from Nan province, Thailand. The power plant will have 3 units, 626 MW each, and it is expected to start commercial operation by 2015. Hongsa Power Co.,Ltd is a shared enterprise from Ratchaburi Holding with 40%, Banpu Power Co., Ltd. with 40% and LHSE with 20%. The company is a result of a effort to address the increases in demand for electricity as well as to stimulate the socio – economic development.

About this position

The Senior Officer – Steam Turbine Maintenance is responsible for collaborating and monitoring maintenance contractors to manage all preventive and corrective maintenance activities at the Hongsa Power Plant, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate and monitor maintenance contractor to manage all preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance to achieve power plant target
• Steam Turbine Maintenance
• Steam turbine Generator Mechanical Maintenance
• Steam turbine and steam turbine generator auxiliaries as turbine control valve, deaerator, lube oil system, pumps, valves, cooling towers, condenser, condensate pump, vacuum pump, boiler feed pump, heat exchanger, tank & vessel etc.
• The balance of plant equipment maintenance includes water and wastewater treatment, plant instrument/ash air compressors, EDG (emergency diesel generator), water pipeline, chemical plant, hydrogen production plant etc.
• Collaborate with relate parties for planned outage maintenance control key activity planned outage to ensure duration be controlled scheduling, spare part outage, facility, work quality, and safety management to achieve power plant and corporate target
• Perform spare part direct repairing and refurbishment process to reduce operation, maintenance and spare part purchasing cost
• Historical data record, CMMS management, CbM and data analysis and propose modification and improvement project
• Collaborate with relate parties for sufficiently spare part, minimizing stock, data base management and request for placing order including provide technical matter when necessary
• Collaborate and follow up all maintenance’s contractor at the job site to perform work under obligation in contract agreement, agree procedure, safety and environmental compliance and local regulation
• Collaborate and control contractor modify or improvement project at the job site, to achieve of costing, scheduling, and SHE compliance
• Produce the performance evaluation for O&M’s contractor, CMA’s Contractor, and Maintenance’s Contractor base on factors of work quantity and quality, environmental, quick response by weekly/monthly basis or required
• Perform condition base monitoring and predictive maintenance program and analysis

Requirements

• Bachelor or master’s degree in Mechanical engineering
• >3 years of work experience in maintenance and engineering, power plant construction and maintenance, project management in power plant or petrochemical plant, (steam turbine maintenance experience will be advantage)
• Experience in power plant maintenance or turnaround project, bidding, purchasing technical and bid evaluation, project engineering or project control engineering will be advantage
