Overseas Purchasing & Product Sourcing - VP Level
About this position
The VP of Overseas Purchasing & Product Sourcing will be responsible for developing strategies, overseeing product procurement, analyzing sales and profits, managing inventory, and ensuring cost efficiency. They will also be in charge of quality control, market research, vendor management, and communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
• Develop strategies and guidelines for product procurement in line with merchandise strategy
• Analyze sales and profits to meet targets and adjust product strategies
• Monitor Profit & Loss Statement monthly
• Manage cost control and plan product management strategies
• Evaluate and expedite product sourcing and development
• Plan market surveys, analyze competitors, visit branches, and vendors
• Supervise quality control and set quality standards
• Manage import processes for cost efficiency and communicate external situations affecting costs
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related fields
• 10+ years of experience in Overseas Purchasing or Product Sourcing
• Background in retail business preferred
• Knowledge of marketing insights and analytics best practices
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
