Overseas Purchasing & Product Sourcing - VP Level
About this position
The VP of Overseas Purchasing & Product Sourcing will be responsible for developing strategies, overseeing product procurement, analyzing sales and profits, managing inventory, and ensuring quality control. The role also involves market research, vendor management, and cost management.
Responsibilities
• Develop strategies and guidelines for product procurement in line with merchandise strategy
• Analyze sales and profits to meet targets and adjust product strategies
• Monitor Profit & Loss Statement monthly
• Manage cost management strategies for maximum benefit
• Evaluate and summarize product sourcing quickly
• Plan market surveys, analyze competitors, and visit vendors
• Oversee quality control and set quality standards
• Manage the import process to ensure cost efficiency and communicate external situations that may impact costs
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related fields
• 10+ years of experience in Overseas Purchasing or Product Sourcing
• Background in retail business preferred
• Knowledge of marketing insights and analytics best practices
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• Fluency in English and Chinese
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
