About this position

The R&D Supervisor for Beverages will be responsible for developing new beverage products from concept to market, ensuring products meet taste, nutritional, and safety standards. They will manage multiple research and development projects, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and stay updated on industry trends and consumer preferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop new beverage products from concept to market
• Formulate and develop beverage recipes, including non-alcoholic beverages, fruit juices, tea, coffee, and other special beverages
• Ensure new products meet taste, nutritional, and safety standards
• Manage multiple research and development projects to ensure timely completion within budget
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including marketing, production, and quality assurance
• Prepare project plans, timelines, and reports for senior management
• Monitor industry trends, consumer preferences, and new technologies
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify new opportunities
• Promote innovation culture within the research and development team
• Ensure all products comply with food safety regulations and standards both domestically and internationally
• Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures
• Liaise with regulatory agencies for product approvals
• Recruit, train, and mentor research and development staff
• Provide leadership and guidance to the research and development team, fostering a collaborative work culture and efficient work practices
• Evaluate team performance and identify areas for development
• Work closely with procurement for sourcing raw materials and packaging materials
• Collaborate with production to scale up recipes from lab to large-scale production
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including presenting findings and updates to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in R&D in the beverage industry
• Experience in team management and at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Knowledge of beverage formulation and working with various ingredients
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
