About this position

The primary responsibility of this role is to develop SMT process for new products, evaluate process risk on new PCBA layout, program Screen printing, AOI, Placement, X-Ray, Reflow, Selective soldering, Study process specification and machine parameter.

Responsibilities

• Setup SMT program for new products including Solder paste printer, KY SPI&AOI, Fuji NXT placement, profile for Reflow, Soltec&Ersa selective soldering and Nordson coating dispenser.
• Define and optimize process parameters for new products. Especially for reflow, and selective soldering. using statistical tools such as Cpk analysis, gage R&R, DOE.
• Equipment troubleshooting and PM. Draft troubleshooting manual, PM plan, and Train technician related knowledge.
• Improve SMT line efficiency through equipment parameter and program optimization.
• Work with external suppliers to design and fabricate SMT-related fixtures.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of Global Process Specifications. This will include investigating and benchmarking best practices within Harman and throughout the global assembly industry.
• Ensures full technical and manufacturing documentation is created (Work Instructions, FMEAs, Process Specifications, Risk assessments, Capability studies, Maintenance schedules, and Recommended Spares).
• New technology, new equipment, and new material evaluation and qualification.
• Track and analyze new and existing production processes in order to determine technical and commercial feasibility.
• Introduce new production processes into large-scale production, considering new technologies and materials. Include research results in collaboration with internal and external research centers.
• Perform cost comparisons of new processes, taking into account future requirements, strategic business objectives, technological developments, technical options, production capacity issues, and other organizational conditions.
• Manage the creation and maintenance of Process Specifications, Hardware Specifications, and Best Practices.
• Work with team members in Europe and North America to standardize production processes across the organization.
• Work with team members in Europe and North America to develop and implement best practices in production that result in the best possible quality level while managing costs.
• Participate in product launch efforts.
• Participate in developing APQP documentation.

Requirements

• Five or more years of experience in SMT process and experience in programming ether Screening printing, AOI, Placement, Reflow, Wave soldering, Selective soldering, X-ray.
• Experience in launching new products, and be familiar with new project development procedures.
• Experience on FUJI NXT/NXTR placement, MPM Printer,KY SPI/AOI, Viscom AXI, ERSA Selective soldering, Nordson Coating machine and ACI will be preferred.
• Experience in machine troubleshooting and PM.
• Skilled in English written and oral communications.
• Implement new and existing production processes into a high-volume production environment.
