About this position

In the role of Equipment (SMT) Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work within our Automotive Division, responsible for production SMT equipment development, maintenance, and improvement, including the whole product manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate initial equipment transfer, new equipment purchase & installation and all other auxiliary equipment installation and implementation.
• Work with the global team for new projects and SMT improvement.
• Work with AME and/or other function staff to achieve successful equipment installation and commission ready for line process/equipment validation run.
• Prepare and effectively implement preventive maintenance program for all equipment – Solder Printer / SPI / Pick&Place / Reflow Oven / X-Ray machine / AOI machine.
• Continuous drive and lead to improve machine performance to attain high first-pass yield, lower production scrap, and optimize machine utilization rate.
• Participates in implementing and maintaining ISO/IATF16949 quality system.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor degree in Manufacturing / Industry / Electronic / Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
• Experience: Five years or more experience in EMS electronic manufacturing as a Process/ Equipment engineer. Be a strong communicator and an excellent team builder. Good Experience in ISO/IATF16949 quality systems, Lean manufacturing, and new product launches.
• Language skill: English (read, oral and write).
• Be familiar with process flow, PFMEA and CP.
• Be familiar with Heller Reflow oven, Kohyoung SPI and Fuji NXT Pick&Place MC.
• SPC, DOE analysis tool experience and ability.
• Be familiar with ISO/IATF16949 quality system and TPM system.
• Ability for mechanical structure design and analysis.
• Communication skill and good leadership, fair mind, strong sense of responsibility.
