About this position

Ensure that all new products introduced into manufacturing achieve the required deliverables and that all process documentation is available for manufacturing use.

Responsibilities

• Consult and support global Product Engineering Departments to apply DFA and DFM, based on best practices and appropriate innovative solutions.
• Develop Control Plans and PFMEAs for new processes
• Define the manufacturing requirements for labor, equipment, running speeds, and method of assembly. Facilitate and submit manufacturing cost input to RFQ and business case.
• Deliver customer new program industrialization tasks on time and hand over to plant from DV to PV and support SOP.
• On-time availability of new equipment and conduct process capability study for new equipment; Ensure all new equipment/processes confirm the latest Health and Safety requirements.
• Improved performance of cost drivers as a result of new investments e.g. cycle time reduction, labor efficiency improvement, and scrap reduction
• Work with cross-functional teams to introduce simplified products and standardize products and processes globally.
• Develop capital budgets for major equipment investments
• Work with Plant Managers and Engineering Managers to implement new processes / new equipment.
• Support manufacturing transfer (plant to plant) projects from initial planning to customer approval

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and above in engineering-related area
• Minimum 15 years of experience in process/equipment/new program launch in the Automotive industry
• Minimum 5 years experience in people leaders’ role
