About this position

The position is responsible for leading and guiding all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Management for the Thailand manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Customer Quality roles including 0-km issues, warranty issues resolution and service.
• Lead the line qualification, customer approval, project quality.
• Field Service Plan including service strategy, warranty agreements and analysis plans are agreed upon with the customer and execution plans are in place.
• Provide interface support to achieve highest levels of customer satisfaction.
• Manage all the quality control and quality management system for Thailand operation, including manufacturing quality covering project quality, process quality, local customer engineers, incoming quality, QMS coordinator will report to this position.
• Local Field Quality team will report to this position including resident quality engineers.
• Assure plant is current and in compliance with customer quality requirements including quality concerns, improvement ideas, quality improvement need.
• Drive product focused quality risk reduction as a key decision maker in release reviews, project gate reviews and support teams with risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle.
• Drive customer ratings and score cards to ensure meeting customer expectation.
• Review and regularly report quality metrics including warranty, initial quality, and any escalated and critical programs issues.
• Report external and internal Key Performance Index, quality status.
• Drive resolution and ensure information flow related to customer returns and warranty problems to appropriately address both design and manufacturing causes; and to facilitate awareness.
• Handle quality support and queries for customers.
• Interaction with Customer SQ (Supplier Quality)/ STA (Supplier Technical Assistance) representative.
• Customer Interactions for all important events like Fitment, PPAP, customer audit etc.
• Monitoring sample build, testing and plant during project phases.
• Plan gauges and test equipment as required for new product/customer, calibration need, including Safe Launch equipment and Plan.
• Responsible for customer complaint and return.
• Responsible for process & product quality control.
• Responsible for QMS establishment and implementation.
• Responsible for customer audit and 3rd part audit.
• Responsible for document control.
• Responsible for procure supplier quality control.
• Train and coach engineers.
• Continuous improvement activities.
• New Program qualification.
• Lead plant on customer qualification and approval process.
• Lead cross functional team on quality problem solving.
• Perform additional assignment assign by his/her supervisor.

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering/Technical and above.
• 10 years quality working experience in manufacturing plant, including 5 years as a management position.
• Proficient in both oral and written English is a MUST.
• Specialized knowledge or skills required: FMEA, SPC, IATF16949.
• Ability to Connect with Customers & understand the Quality requirement.
• Excellent communication and presentation.
