About this position

This incumbent is expected to understand how the business operates and plans for future capacity requirements. Undertakes planning activities to ensure OPC are met and optimize capacity plan in vendor level by refining balancing model, discussing capacity issues with Corporate planner and key vendors. Incorporate newness, capacity constraints and demand variances to make alignment with corporate strategy. Proactively identify and resolve capacity and resource constraints.

Responsibilities

• Model vendor capacity
• Performs weekly capacity planning activities in the capacity planning system including entry and maintenance of all key capacity information and parameters for each production facility in the appropriate systems. Proactively performs data maintenance to ensure system integrity.
• Collect and maintain style allocation plans of primary vendor.
• Calculate AMD and distribute to vendors.
• Create reports of snapshot for capacity review.
• Maintain and update MOQ MCQ lead time guideline file.
• Establish useful tools and identify potential risks on service.
• Assist to compile all reporting and data downloading
• Enhance where make process to include vendor. (add to @ task calendar) Model newness profile by vendor.
• Monitor and track newness through where make calls, @ task information and email communication.
• Perform capacity planning activities in capacity planning system (CPS) to support the output of OPC and CC plan.
• Ensure that appropriate capacity plans are in place in alignment with OPC and corporate strategy.
• Anticipates capacity related issues and drives resolution in advance. Such as regularly review OPC, production capacity of each vendor, AMD changes, newness and vendor allocation, order volume, move in and move out plans.
• Proactively drive capacity discussion with all parties such as Corporate planning, Sourcing and vendors.
• Manage deviations from the plan (especially on newness) and call out for executive decision making.
• Provide capacity resolutions with scenarios and simulations for management decision making.
• Hold monthly capacity meeting with vendors and review vendor score card and capacity plans.
• Hold bi-weekly call with Corporate capacity planning manager to get new updates from corporate and maintain capacity adjustment accordingly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, operations, or a related field required.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience required.
• Requires excellent Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• MS Access, VBA Programming, Basic SQL and database knowledge is a plus
