About this position

As a part of Regional Automation team, we are seeking a skilled & experienced Regional Automation Engineer. The ideal candidate will be continuously exploring & evaluating options / areas for automation in the plants in Asia region and execute the projects with plant engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Work with Plant Engineering teams to scope out projects to implement automation.
• Ensure that technical drawings, documentation & manuals are created for any equipment implemented to ensure reliability.
• Ensure accurate analytics to calculate the cost and ROI of automation projects implemented at the Asia region garment manufacturing plants.
• Proactively train the engineers at the plants on the new methods and automation technics.
• Attend required meetings and react to those as necessary. Serve on task forces and other initiatives as necessary to support the needs of the business.
• Promote a positive work atmosphere to ensure good employee relations and strict adherence to the company business practices.
• Effectively implement the automation solution by working closely with plant operations team through systematic project management.
• Work with existing vendors & develop new vendors at each locations to accelerate automation programs & adapt new machine functionalities.

Requirements

• Bachelor/Master Degree preferably in Mechatronics, Automation, Instrumentation or Electronics field.
• Min. 5 to 8 years of hands on experience in industrial process automation system design, development & implementation at multiple locations.
• Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across plants & departments.
• Proficient in CAD Software: Solidworks, Inventor, AutoCAD.
• Solid electrical, pneumatic circuit design experience.
• Strong in Machine control programming: PLC, Arduino, Raspberry Pi etc.
• Knowledge of IOT system development & implementation.
• Lean & Six Sigma Manufacturing exposure.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good command in English.
