About this position

The Safety Officer/Safety Engineer is responsible for ensuring compliance with occupational safety, health, and environmental regulations within the workplace, providing training, and conducting inspections to promote a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

• To inspect and give recommendations to the employer to comply with the law on occupational safety, health and environment.
• To analyze the work to indicate possible dangers, and set and present preventive measures and procedures for working safely to the employer.
• To assess the risks in the area of safety occupational health and work environment.
• To analyze work plans and projects, and recommendations of every working unit; and to give advice on safety measures to the employer.
• To inspect and assess the operation of the workplace to comply with the work plan and project, or occupational safety measures.
• To give advice to the employees to follow the manual on safety occupational health and work environment.
• To give advice, teach and train the employees to work safely and without any risk of dangers.
• To examine and appraise the working conditions, or to work jointly with a person or juristic persons registered or licensed under the Safety, Occupational Health and Work Environment Act or other relevant laws.
• To give recommendations to the employer on the appropriate management of occupational safety in the workplace, and develop it for ongoing efficiency.
• To analyze and investigate the causes of accidents, illness or annoyance resulting from working of the employees, and report the inspection results, including suggesting solutions to the employer to prevent incidents from occurring without delay.
• To compile statistical data, analyze, make a report and to give recommendations on accident, illness or annoyance caused by working of the employees to employers.
• Provide knowledge and training on occupational and environmental diseases to employees before they start work and offer refresher sessions during employment to reinforce this knowledge at least once a year.
• To conduct other occupational safety activities as assigned by the employer.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational health & Safety, Industrial hygiene safety or Bachelor's Degree of Engineering Program in Safety Engineering.
• New Graduates or 1-2 years of working experience safety function in Manufacturing Industry, and accustomed to administering and occupational health safety program.
• Good knowledge of Thai environmental, safety & health legislation and regulations involved.
• Must be fluent Thai speaker (No Thai work permit providing).
• Good English communication skill.
• Able to work in Lamphun province.
