About this position

The Project Engineer Supervisor for Solar Farms is responsible for overseeing the engineering and supervisory aspects of solar farm projects from inception to completion. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project milestones are met, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical expertise in solar energy systems, project management skills, and leadership abilities to guide engineering teams effectively.

Responsibilities

Project Planning and Coordination
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones and deliverables.

Engineering Oversight
• Supervise the design and engineering processes for solar farm projects.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff.
• Assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance to ensure high-quality work.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

Quality Assurance and Control
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Reporting and Documentation
• Prepare regular project status reports for management and stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design changes, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
• Ensure all project records are accurate and up-to-date.

Requirements

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering within the renewable energy sector, preferably in solar farm projects.
• Proven track record of supervising engineering teams and managing complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology, system design, and installation.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Strong analytical skills.
