AVP, Project Management (Solar Farm - Greenfield)
About this position
The AVP, Project Management (Solar Farm - Greenfield) is responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for the successful implementation of project activities, ensuring effective project management and administration.
Responsibilities
• Provides strategic leadership and technical, operational, financial, and managerial leadership for successful implementation of project activities and provides oversight of program implementation including all activities, outputs, and outcomes related to project management and administration, including reporting, budget development and monitoring, financial transactions, execution of project plans, and project performance.
• Supports VP in developing and implementing strategy for the PM team, including developing a robust risk mitigation plan and advising the PM team to be on tracks as set-off.
• Acts as the primary project contact person and liaison with other departments in order to increase awareness of programs according to the agreed regulations and contributes to the PM team to aware of such policies and/or regulations.
• Oversees development of a monitoring and evaluation plan for the successive phases of the project to capture project performance and results.
• Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results to the PM team members.
• Identifying opportunities for continual improvement on project management and contributes to the PM team to enhance such opportunities.
• Oversees projects budget pipeline development and budget monitoring and controlling throughout all project life cycle. Develops a detailed implementation plan in line with the agreed scope and resources.
• Conducts monthly reviews with management to ensure accountability of all project activities as well as the accurate and timely reporting of financial deliverables and obligations.
• Oversees the selection and training of qualified program staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient operations.
• Establishes and manages a team with all the relevant disciplines and operational staff, including team building and counterpart identification within Ministries and partners.
Requirements
• Advanced degree (minimum, Master’s degree) in a relevant field from an accredited university with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership position managing Renewable Projects Programs, preferred Greenfield projects.
• At least 10 years of experience in a leadership position managing Renewable Projects Programs, preferred Greenfield projects.
• Experience leading, managing, implementing, and evaluating multi-million Thai baht, renewable projects.
• Demonstrated diplomatic, management, and communication skills to liaise and advocate with project key stakeholders, including implementing team.
• Proven ability to write project execution reports and program documents, CAPEX setting up and deliver presentations to management.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Solid understanding of Project Management process.
• Has good leadership and supervisory skills.
• Knowledge of Project Managements in renewable business, preferred greenfield projects.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Having program management skills with strong track records in Renewable projects, preferred greenfield projects.
