Logistics Officer
About this position
The Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating shipping schedules, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and managing logistics solutions for project implementation.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate shipping schedule, routes with transportation companies to meet project requirements as well as ensure that goods arrive on time without damage.
• Review shipping documents and information to agent/freight forwarder for freight arrangement.
• Co-ordinate with courier, freight forwarder, power plants, BOI and related parties to prepare paperwork, identify exemptions and arrange for import or export customs clearance until arrival to final destination.
• Review shipping documents to ensure accuracy prior shipment.
• Harmonized System (HS code) control for import/export.
• Provide logistics solutions with project implementation for project team.
• Monitor and Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
• Work closely with warehouse team for incoming, outgoing equipment, material.
• Develop reports on material and personnel movements and various operational logistics problems.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business administration, or Transportation; Industrial Distribution, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or in a related field.
• Knowledge of logistics systems, Transportation limitations and regulations.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistic or supply chain management.
• Sourcing and Supplier Selection/Management.
• Expertise in material control and logistics planning, as well as supplier and service management.
• Forecasting and planning, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
