About this position

The Data Center - Legal Manager (Commercial Contract Review) is responsible for managing legal aspects of commercial contracts related to data center operations, ensuring compliance, providing legal advice, and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

• Contract Drafting and Review: Prepare, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements specific to data center operations.
• Legal Compliance: Ensure that all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies, particularly those related to data protection and cybersecurity.
• Advisory Role: Act as a legal advisor to senior management and various departments, providing guidance on legal risks associated with commercial transactions and operational practices.
• Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks in contracts and business operations, recommending strategies to mitigate these risks effectively.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, and operations to ensure that contractual obligations are met and align with business objectives.
• Dispute Resolution: Manage disputes related to contracts, liaising with external legal counsel as necessary to protect the company’s interests.
• Policy Development: Develop and implement legal policies and procedures that support the company’s operational goals while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
• Training and Development: Provide training to internal teams on legal best practices related to contract management and compliance issues.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent degree from an accredited institution; admission to practice law in relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role focused on commercial contracts, preferably within the technology or data center sector.
• Strong expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial contracts.
• Comprehensive understanding of company law and regulations affecting data centers.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Proactive mindset with a solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
