Data Center - Business Development Officer
About this position
The Data Center - Business Development Officer is responsible for driving growth through strategic business development initiatives, building client relationships, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape within the data center sector.
• Develop and execute business development strategies to drive growth and meet sales objectives.
• Identify and engage potential clients, building strong relationships to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including technology providers, consultants, and industry associations.
• Lead the sales process from prospecting through to closing deals, ensuring high conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
• Create and manage documentation for Board of Director meetings, ensuring all relevant materials are prepared in advance.
• Review and draft basic contracts related to business transactions, ensuring clarity and compliance with legal standards.
• Summarize financial data and provide updates on ongoing project progress for presentation at Board meetings.
• Forecasting & Reporting: Prepare and manage sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to inform strategic decision-making.
• Mentor and oversee a team of business development professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes high performance.
• Ensure all business development activities comply with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in business development, specifically within the data center or related technology sectors.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proven track record of building relationships with C-level executives.
• Familiarity with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Project management skills to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
