Fleet Sales Manager (Automotive/EV)
About this position
The Fleet Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies targeting fleet customers in the automotive/EV market, building key accounts, achieving sales targets, leading negotiations, promoting EV adoption, and managing the fleet sales team.
Responsibilities
• Formulate and implement a strategic sales plan targeting fleet customers to drive growth in the automotive/EV market.
• Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends and competitive offerings.
• Establish strong relationships with fleet customers, corporate accounts, leasing companies, and government agencies.
• Regularly meet with key stakeholders to ensure client satisfaction and address any service or product concerns.
• Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for fleet vehicles, with a specific focus on electric vehicle (EV) adoption where applicable.
• Track sales metrics and report on performance to senior management, adjusting tactics as needed to optimize results.
• Manage the entire sales process, from initial client engagement through negotiation, closing.
• Prepare and negotiate contracts and pricing agreements, ensuring profitability while meeting customer needs.
• Educate fleet customers on the benefits and operational cost savings of switching to electric vehicles.
• Conduct training sessions or presentations to highlight the environmental benefits, TCO (total cost of ownership), and advancements in EV technology.
• Supervise and mentor junior sales representatives, providing training, guidance, and support to help them reach their goals.
• Conduct regular team meetings to review sales progress and share best practices.
Requirements
• Proven 8-10 years work experience in automotive sales, especially fleet management.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not always necessary).
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills to effectively manage a sales team.
• Knowledge of current automotive market trends and technology.
