About this position

The Customs Manager (Free Zone) is responsible for overseeing Free Zone operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing supply chain strategies to minimize duties and taxes.

Responsibilities

• Free Zone operations (local, import, export, scrap, consignment, temporary out of Free Zone, Bank Guarantee).
• Development and execution of duty/ excise tax minimization and supply chain optimization strategies by utilizing tax privilege.
• Coordinate with other departments for export/domestic shipment.
• Manage and control daily outbound operation under Free zone regulation.
• Manage and control transfer part between Free zone to Free zone and Free zone to other privilege.
• Manage and control Free zone, local content, and excise submission.
• FTA Management.
• Implement government reports e.g. Free Zone Semi-annual report, TISI, NBCT.
• API Inventory and arrange audit with Customs Government.
• Work closely with accounting departments for, duty refund, freight invoices, transport.
• Participate in customs and government meetings where required, coordinate government visits.
• Handle export document e.g. Invoice, Packing List, B/L, Certificate of origin Form.
• Handle tax, import duty, excise tax, municipal tax, and VAT for CBU shipment.
• Valid tariff code and excise code for new product.
• Reconcile outbound report by monthly and yearly.
• Reconcile and balance annual physical inventory yearly (API).
• Estimate and set up budget of customs clearance yearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or high in Logistics Management & Business Administration, MBA, or related field.
• At least 10 years’ experience in Customs or Logistics and Supply Chain Management OEM or manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in operation management with at least 10 years of leadership experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management, strategic planning, and operation software.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Visionary thinker with the ability to formulate and execute strategic plans.
• Good communication in English or Chinese would be advantage.
