R&D Engineer (Electronics)
About this position
The R&D Engineer (Electronics) is responsible for performing R&D tasks assigned by the R&D Manager, maintaining quality management systems, repairing and maintaining electronics test equipment, and participating in product design and development.
Responsibilities
• Perform R&D job as assigned by R&D Manager from day to day job, break down job to project job to reach department goals.
• Maintain quality management systems for R&D department. Act as document control for R&D department.
• Repair, implement and maintain electronics test equipment in electronics production department to ensure that all test equipment are reliable and in good shape.
• Be part of the team or lead the team to design and develop product according to company procedures and agreement with customer.
• Strictly follow the GPV Group Code of Conduct.
• Ensure that you have been trained and strictly follow our safety rules at workplace.
• Ensure compliance with the company's management system, policies and rules.
• Maintain a high level of know-how in PCB design, software/firmware development and test system implementation.
• Collect monthly data on Key Performance Indicators, with a view to identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Suggest alternatives to electronics parts and components according to customer input/requirement.
• Control related documentation and keep filing system according to procedures.
• Contact to internal and external suppliers or institutes for outsource design and development based on project need.
• Improve product design to meet customer requirements as assigned by R&D Manager.
• Improve, repair and maintain measuring/testing equipment effectiveness & economically.
• Support all technical issues in electronics production department as requested from the others.
• Perform all tasks with awareness of safety. Always equipped with PPE (personnel protection equipment) while working in electronics production area.
• Participate in 7S/Lean/Kaizen/6sigma and other improvement activities.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or above in electronics engineering or related field.
• Good programming skills in either Visual basic, .NET, C/C# or Labview, Embedded Programming, Robot / Automation setup and programming.
• Experience 0-3 years in R&D or electronics.
• Good attitude, logic thinking.
• Good command for English and Computer skills.
