About this position

We are seeking an experienced Business Development and Solution Consultant specializing in Microsoft Azure’s Data and AI services. This role will focus on identifying business opportunities, developing strategic solutions, and engaging clients in Azure’s data, analytics, and artificial intelligence offerings.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities specifically in the Cloud Data & AI space, focusing on solutions like Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Machine Learning, and other Azure AI and data services.
• Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy to achieve sales and growth targets within the Data & AI market segment.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their data and AI needs to align Azure solutions effectively.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop customer-specific messaging, case studies, and whitepapers for Azure Data & AI solutions.
• Analyze market trends, competitive offerings, and customer needs to inform strategy and product positioning.
• Engage with customers to understand their data challenges, objectives, and AI needs, translating them into Azure-based solutions.
• Design and present end-to-end Azure solutions for data warehousing, advanced analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
• Develop and lead technical workshops, demos, and proof of concepts (POCs) to showcase Azure’s capabilities in data integration, processing, analytics, and AI.
• Collaborate with Azure architects and data scientists to customize solutions that align with customer needs, while ensuring scalability, cost-effectiveness, and security compliance.
• Create detailed solution proposals, architecture diagrams, and Statements of Work (SOWs) for data and AI projects on Azure.
• Partner closely with Microsoft Azure account teams to leverage resources, incentives, and marketing programs.
• Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, customer success, product development) to ensure the successful delivery of Azure Data & AI solutions.
• Provide thought leadership on cloud data and AI trends, serving as the go-to expert on Azure Data & AI services within the organization.
• Stay up-to-date with Azure Data & AI innovations, competitive offerings, and best practices to continually enhance solution quality and relevance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field; advanced degrees and Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer, Azure AI Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect) are preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in business development, solution consulting, or pre-sales, with a focus on data analytics, machine learning, or AI solutions in cloud environments.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services.
