About this position

Conduct research and provide valuable insights to formulate and refine the decarbonization strategy and roadmap, ensuring robust governance mechanisms for effective execution. Develop and implement enabling tools to support the successful execution of decarbonization initiatives. Additionally, explore and identify new business opportunities aligned with the decarbonization strategy, focusing on emerging markets and technological advancements in sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop decarbonization strategy & roadmap and ensure effective decarbonization execution against KPI / short-long term goals
• Monitor and identify gap closing for decarbonization execution
• Develop proper support (systems, tools, best practices, manpower & technology) for decarbonization initiatives across GGC
• Assess impact (strategically and economically) and ensure proper actions in responding to external factors that impact GGC decarbonization roadmap
• Assist to manage corporate’s internal carbon pricing (ICP) that links to investment decision making processes, including prioritization
• Assist to manage corporate carbon credit to ensure enough credit to accomplish the decarbonization goals, including forestation, trading
• Develop decarbonization technology intelligence and explore new opportunity in decarbonization for GGC aligning with business direction.
• Develop market analysis and technology scouting for opportunity area with stakeholders to support business strategy development
• Assist to develop ecosystem with external partner (academic, business, institute and government) regarding to new opportunity in decarbonization (technology, market, law and regulation, policy, intensive, etc.) to drive advocacy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in project management (PMP), sustainability, or carbon management are highly preferred.
• At least 7-10 years of experience in decarbonization, sustainability, new business development, strategy development, project management, consultation study, work with industrial associations and government agencies or related field.
• Experienced professionals with leadership abilities. Experience in overseeing departments, teams, or significant projects.
