Division Manager - Product Movement
About this position
Responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of strategies, policies, procedures, and standards related to logistics, including planning, executing, and managing warehouse operations to ensure cost-effective and efficient product delivery.
Responsibilities
• Drive high performance by leading and mentoring teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, developing talent, and implementing effective people management strategies to align team efforts with organizational goals.
• Develop logistics policies, regulations, standard procedures, and operational plans for logistics planning, operations, and warehousing.
• Manage logistics operations to ensure cost-effective, accurate, and high-quality delivery of goods.
• Oversee and monitor the development of detailed movement plans for sourcing and distributing goods across all types of transportation.
• Supervise product handling to ensure timely delivery with the highest quality and appropriateness.
• Oversee the budget and distribution costs to maintain financial efficiency.
• Manage and track warehouse planning and inventory management to address stock discrepancies effectively.
• Ensure the maintenance, availability, and optimal utilization of assets to achieve efficiency improvements and minimize overall warehousing costs.
• Oversee the optimization of material handling equipment and resources required for smooth warehouse operations, ensuring high service quality and safety standards.
• Manage and monitor the performance of logistics vendors to ensure service quality meets QSHE (Quality, Safety, Health, and Environment) standards and policies.
Requirements
• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Science, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA) or professional certification (e.g., Certified Supply Chain Professional - CSCP, Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution - CLTD) is preferred.
• Experience:
• At least 10 years of experience in operations, production planning, logistics, supply chain management, or related fields, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in logistics management within the petrochemical or manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
