About this position

The Manager - Production will lead continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on optimizing production processes and efficiency in the canning and UHT production. The role involves analyzing current manufacturing practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing best practices. Additionally, this position will develop and train shop floor staff to enable them to carry out autonomous maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of production lines.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and analyze production processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to enhance production output, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Production planning, QA, purchasing, engineering to drive operational excellence in the production process.
• Develop and train shop floor staff to achieve autonomous maintenance capabilities, empowering them to maintain and troubleshoot equipment independently.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure improvement efforts and ensure sustainability.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the production process.

Requirements

• bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Food Science, or related fields.
• Possess 10 or more years of experience in the food industry, manufacturing engineering, or FMCG business.
• Knowledgeable in production and food standard systems such as GHP/HACCP, BRC, IFS, etc.
• Proficient in basic computer programs like Microsoft Office.
• Proven experience in process improvement, machine management, and employee training.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machinery.
• Proficiency in maintenance planning and autonomous maintenance (AM) practices.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff at all levels.
• Hands-on experience with production equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
