Business Support Services Manager
About this position
The Business Support Services Manager is responsible for contributing to the development of global tender processes, ensuring compliance, managing tender pricing, and leading a team to meet staffing needs while providing timely responses to customer requests.
Responsibilities
• Process-development: Contribute to the development of Global Tender, processes and procedures, in line with the company strategy and execute in order to increase the amount activities handled success rate.
• Global Tenders-support: Based on the specific RFQ requirements, to deliver a correct and timely value adding response to the customers’ request.
• Facilitate the RFQ compliance process: Facilitate& own the GEODIS Terms & Conditions Check (TACC) process.
• Agent Tenders: Manage the tender pricing process for Agent Tenders, in line with the Global Tender policies and in cooperation with the Tender Managers, in order to ensure a timely and accurate handling of tenders.
• Global Spot Quote Desk: For the Spot quotes the KPI is to keep growing, but with the right customers. Together with the Team Leader.
• Management Information/Reporting: Administer and report information (standard/requested/own initiative).
• Leadership: Steer, develop and motivate direct reports, in line with the global HR policies, individual and company’s objectives, to ensure the necessary quality and quantity of staffing for current and future needs.
Requirements
• Bachelor / Master’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
• Supply Chain Management experience is considered as a plus.
• 8 years’ experience within the logistics/freight forwarding industry with team leading experience.
• Academic working and thinking level.
• High level of knowledge on Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Proficient in English (both verbally and written)
