Division Manager - Construction Application Development
About this position
The Division Manager - Construction Application Development is responsible for leading the development of resin and applications for the construction platform, providing technical support, and promoting innovation within the team.
Responsibilities
• Lead development of resin (polymer and compound materials) and applications for “Construction” platform (such as rotomolding, PE pipe, wire and cable jacketing)
• Provide technical perspective to support business & marketing team.
• Leverage GC capability of “Application Development” including material development, application development, polymer processing technology, application prototyping and support business team to commercialize product/solution to the market.
• Promote product and application development initiatives, knowledge management and intellectual properties management that build-up product and business values to customer and leverage GC competitiveness.
• Strengthen “Innovation Culture” in “Construction Application Development” team & leverage people competency through leadership, coaching, performance management, core behaviors, functional & core competency, career path, engagement, QSHE to serve business growth and GC policy.
• Manage “Construction” product and application development portfolio and performance and promote continuous improvement guidelines, standards and procedures to ensure effective R&D projects execution under GC good governance (GRC) and risk management and sustainability.
Requirements
• At least Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science/Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or equivalent (in polymer technology). Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in polymer producer and/or polymers in construction material industry. (need expertise in molecular structure and properties design)
• At least 10 years in product and technology development function (as R&D function)
• Advance competency in innovation execution, customer/market insight to innovation, leverage technology to innovation, application development, people management
• English literacy both writing and reading
