Turnaround Planning Engineer
About this position
The Turnaround Planning Engineer is responsible for delivering turnaround plans and work schedules, identifying necessary resources, and coordinating turnaround activities while ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
• Deliver T/A plans and work schedules; to identify appropriate equipment spare parts, materials, resource requirements and to co-ordinate the T/A activities.
• Incorporate the company priorities in consistently functioning to high standards of safety, quality, technical capability and cost effectiveness.
• During T/A execution, act as a controller and monitor of the performance of the T/A team and service contractors in all facets of the T/A work scope.
• Support T/A execution team according to Turnaround Task Force Organization.
• Contributor to delivering an optimized T/A duration and cost to the Company.
• Fully understand and follow the contents of T/A Project Management Procedure and related T/A Work Instructions, the T/A Management strategy, T/A Premises, and the T/A overall schedule.
• Throughout T/A act as focal point for specific deliverables as indicated by the responsibility matrix for the T/A Phases; and ensure working knowledge of all T/A deliverables.
• Support information for monthly T/A Phase progress report.
• Support Senior TA Planner and TA Management Division Manager for reporting the deliverables status.
• Understand the T/A management process and communicate to discipline.
• Input to the T/A overall schedule and milestone plan to meet the T/A objectives.
• Support information for T/A Budget and Cost control.
• Follow action plan after T/A Audit function.
• Utilization of the T/A planning and scheduling tools, document control, review of previous T/A history and input for planning enhancement process.
• Prepare documentation for participate in the identification and challenging of the T/A work scope.
• Appreciation work package execution cost and value of downtime.
• Produce preliminary planning deliverables including work packages, equipment schedules and resource requirements.
• Produce detailed planning deliverables - work packages, equipment schedules, Q-SHE, operational and resource requirements.
• Identify all materials / spare parts required and prepare reservation requisitions for timely delivery.
• Review and provide regular feedback on T/A deliverable status during preparation.
• Facilitate reviews of the work scopes; plans and schedules to ensure T/A planning deliverables are optimized.
• Incorporate feedback from customers into plans and schedules.
• Facilitate all communication regarding work scope, contracting arrangements, costs, and schedule to the other members of the T/A team (both internally and externally).
• Identify critical path schedule.
• Coordinate with other discipline for constructability and crane optimization reviews.
• Input and apply contractors Work Methods and related Job Safety Analysis into work package.
• Provide input to the overall T/A schedule optimizations.
• Co-ordinate with Project Engineer to provide input to the overall schedule optimization.
• Produce facility plan, scope plot plan.
• Prepare potentials list of disposal equipment, materials and spare part.
• Provide schedule integration within assigned area.
• Progress tracking all pre-T/A activates within designated area.
• Ensure T/A facilities in place within designated area.
Requirements
• Strong understanding of T/A management processes and procedures.
• Experience in turnaround planning and execution.
• Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in turnaround activities.
• Experience in budget and cost control related to turnaround projects.
