Senior Accountant (GL, AP AR)
About this position
The Senior Accountant (GL, AP AR) is responsible for the preparation and calculation of service costs, maintaining cost centers, monitoring account balances, and providing guidance on costing processes, while also preparing reports for management and conducting inventory counts.
Responsibilities
• Preparation and calculation of the cost of services according to the company's rules and regulations, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Maintain the cost center of the company.
• Monitor and review the balance of account codes related to cost accounting. Reconcile outstanding balances of account codes related to cost accounting by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Coordinate and offer practical guidance to users about the costing process. Gather problems related to the costing process. Summarize solutions to problems and offer practical guidance. Coordinate and follow up on past issues to correct account data and attend relevant meetings.
• Provide information to management, auditors, the Revenue Department, and related parties. Prepare cost analysis reports and performance analysis reports to support management and related parties. Provide information to management, auditors, and the Revenue Department.
• Conduct an inventory physical count with auditors at the end of the year.
• Perform other assignments as required.
Requirements
• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in cost accounting or financial analysis.
• Knowledge: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in preparing and analyzing financial reports.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and external auditors.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
• Certifications (optional but preferred): CPA, CMA, or other relevant accounting certifications.
