RBI Engineer (Risk Based Inspection)
About this position
The RBI Engineer (Risk Based Inspection) is responsible for improving plant reliability and asset integrity through corrosion management and RBI concepts, while also evaluating materials and creating inspection plans.
Responsibilities
• Improve plant reliability and asset integrity by applying the corrosion management strategy and RBI concept.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials for various engineering applications.
• Create inspection and test plans to monitor the condition of assets.
• Perform root cause failure analysis for static and rotating equipment with the optimized recommendations.
• Establish integrity operating windows to manage and control corrosion issues.
• Develop new methodologies and explore new technologies to effectively control corrosion.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in metallurgical, materials, production or welding engineering.
• Experience 5-10 years in inspection or corrosion engineering for oil & gas, petrochemical or chemical industries.
• Knowledgeable in RBI concept, corrosion mechanisms, materials and NDT methods.
• Certified API 580 Risk-Based Inspection.
• Other API, NACE or ASNT certificates would be advantage.
• Good analytical skill, collaboration, and driving results.
• Good command in English both spoken and written.
