Procurement Manager /Subcontracting Manager (Contract)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to EPC projects in the petrochemical industry.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and streamline procurement processes without compromising quality.
• Identify, evaluate, and prequalify vendors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards.
• Negotiate terms, prices, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining strong relationships.
• Maintain an updated database of global suppliers with a focus on critical equipment and materials required for petrochemical plants.
• Prepare procurement plans, RFQs (Request for Quotation), and tender documents based on project requirements.
• Manage the procurement of materials such as pipes, valves, pumps, compressors, and construction equipment, ensuring on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure materials meet technical specifications and project schedules.
• Draft, review, and manage purchase orders and contracts, ensuring alignment with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contract execution to ensure compliance with agreed terms, including quality and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align procurement activities with overall project timelines.
• Monitor project budgets and ensure procurement activities align with financial objectives.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure procurement aligns with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards.
• Track and report procurement KPIs such as cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Prepare detailed reports for senior management on procurement performance and project status.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related fields.
• Min 10 Years of Exp in Procurement/Subcontracting Management.
• Handle assignment in fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Proficient in English.
• Able to work upcountry.
