About this position

The Senior Decarbonization Analyst will be responsible for tracking and analyzing decarbonization technologies and trends, engaging with stakeholders, managing carbon credits, and supporting the company's decarbonization roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Track and analyze decarbonization technologies, regulations, guidelines and incentives for decarbonization to assess impact (strategically and economically) on GC decarbonization roadmap
• Support engagement of key external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and/ or technology developer to drive advocacy
• Execute carbon credit management to ensure compliance and secure sufficient credit to accomplish the decarbonization goals
• Track decarbonization trends & market movements to assess impact (strategically and economically) on GC decarbonization roadmap.
• Analyze and translate those decarbonization drivers into corporate assumptions e.g. climate scenario / external carbon pricing.
• Develop, lead and review corporate’s internal carbon pricing (ICP) that links to investment decision making processes, including prioritization, PIM, CIM, CVC.
• Support engagement activities of key external stakeholders, regulatory bodies and / or technology developer to drive advocacy.
• Review and feedback on decarbonization policies and related external issues from concerned parties / key industry association.
• Track movements on carbon credit markets and develop carbon credit market landscape both for VCM and key compliance markets.
• Analyze and formulate carbon credit management plan to support GC decarbonization roadmap.
• Update and govern GC carbon credit risk appetize to ensure alignment intact of execution.
• Support carbon credit management to secure sufficient credits in the portfolio either from building or buying approach for accomplishing the decarbonization goals.
• Manage company’s credit account at registries and collaborate with internal stakeholders to support mandatory activities.
• Analyze and update carbon credit utilization guidelines based on company portfolio to ensure risk appetite and portfolio healthiness

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree of Engineer (in Chemical engineer/Petrochemical/Chemistry) or above
• Bachelor's Degree of Science or above
• MBA background is preferable
• At least 5 years of experiences in Consultation study, work with industrial associations and government agencies, Strategy development, Business development, Decarbonization and relevance areas
