About this position

The System Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, Azure cloud integration, and network infrastructure, while ensuring security, compliance, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deploy, configure, and maintain Windows Server environments.
• Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement security best practices and patches.
• Design, implement, and manage Active Directory services.
• Create and maintain user accounts, security groups, and group policies.
• Troubleshoot AD-related problems and ensure a secure directory structure.
• Collaborate with the cloud team to manage infrastructure with Azure services.
• Manage and support AD and Azure Virtual Machines to support hybrid cloud solutions.
• Monitor and optimize Azure resources for cost-efficiency.
• Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Implement VLANs, subnets, and basic network segmentation.
• Develop scripts and automation tools to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles for server provisioning and configuration management.
• Implement security measures to protect systems and data.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Test and validate recovery procedures to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations and processes.
• Share knowledge and provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, developers, and security specialists, to achieve operation and project goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• More than 3 years of experience in managing basic infrastructure, Networks, Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
• Having foundation of understanding Cloud Computing and services (preferred Azure).
• Basic networking skills, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation. (Optional)
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE) are a plus. (Optional)
