Accounting Supervisor (Strong background in Audit, CPA is preferred)
About this position
We are a leading Japanese global packaging company seeking a highly skilled Accounting Supervisor with a strong background in audit from a Big 4 accounting firm to join our Finance and Accounting Department.
Responsibilities
• Handling accounting program all module (GL).
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements, including general ledger accounts reconciliation and analysis.
• Prepare accounts reconciliation and detailed listings for month-end closing.
• Being responsible for processing any GL reporting and answering queries.
• Ensuring that the financial and accounting process aligns with Thai Financial Reporting Standards, taxes, and the relevant rules & regulations.
• Verify that all transactions are properly recorded and comply with Accounting Law and Taxation Law.
• Liaise with other departments on related accounting issues and processes.
• Liaise with external auditor and Internal to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with the external Auditor / TAX Advisor.
• Initiating continuous process improvement or other duties as assigned and support any report from Management.
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff, promoting the use of best practices and fostering their professional growth.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvement. Provide detailed insights and actionable recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, ensuring alignment with the company’s global financial goals.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financial in a related field.
• Must have prior experience working at an audit firm, with experience at a Big 4 audit firm.
• At least 5 years solid of accounting experience in manufacturing industry.
• Thorough knowledge of Accounting Law, Taxation Law, and Financial Reporting.
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in accounting roles & handling the company’s Books of Accounts, including the preparation of statistical and financial reports for management information, with experience of team management in supervisory positions.
• Good command in English in conversations and writing.
