Electrical Design Engineer

About this position

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the preliminary design and project execution of electrical systems, including substations and solar systems, while ensuring compliance with specifications and conducting inspections.

Responsibilities

• Preliminary design (SLD) for system project such as HV/MV/LV Substation, Solar system and MCC
• Check and brush up specifications of electrical equipment
• Project cost estimation in coordinate with factories or vendors
• Prepare technical proposal documents
• Check and brush up product drawing/schematic diagram during project execution
• Product inspection (Witness Factory Acceptance Test), site survey and meeting with customers/vendors if necessary
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical power engineer or related field
• At least 2 Years Experience in Electrical System Design/Estimation/Sales in the power electrical field such as HV/MV Substation, HV/MV/LV Switchgear & Transformer and so on: 2-7 years
• Good command in spoken and written English.
• Product knowledge of HV GIS, HV/MV Switchgear & Transformer, LV MDB/MCC/VVVF and Protection relays
• Have skills in AutoCAD operation for Single-line diagrams. Ability to understand Equipment Layout drawing/Schematic diagram
• Electrical Design Software (ETAP) would be advantage
• Knowledge of Monitoring system (SCADA/CSCS) would be an advantage.
• Have a professional engineer license and driving license
• Excellent problem-solving and management skills
• Fast learning, patient, good attitude and can work under pressure.
