Manager - Engineering and Building Inspection
About this position
The Engineering and Building Inspection is responsible for managing and maintaining all assets within the portfolio to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and engineering standards. This role focuses on improving on-site operations, including engineering, repair and maintenance (R&M) services, and landscaping, while providing professional consultancy and support for property management and engineering activities in assigned areas.
Responsibilities
• Establish and maintain internal control mechanisms to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards for all assets in the portfolio.
• Evaluate and implement appropriate solutions for repair and maintenance tasks, considering methods, costs, timelines, specifications, and performance standards.
• Supervise and enhance on-site engineering, R&M, and landscaping activities to meet SOPs and engineering standards.
• Conduct inspections, prepare reports, and recommend innovative solutions to improve operational processes.
• Provide professional advice to customers regarding modification and renovation works.
• Review the design drawings to ensure compliance with building regulations and applicable laws.
• Monitor and control approved construction works to align with legal and engineering standards.
• Assist the Property Management team in maintaining a comprehensive database of modifications across all assets.
• Collaborate with engineering, R&M, and landscaping teams to ensure efficient delivery of services in the assigned area.
• Provide technical consultancy and support for property management and engineering tasks to address both operational needs and customer requirements.
• Monitor and control repair and maintenance expenses to ensure efficient use of the annual budget and cost-effective operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in property management or a related field.
• Strong understanding of building regulations and related laws.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge and experience in managing industrial properties.
