About this position

The Logistics and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient operations of the warehouse, including the management of inventory, storage, order fulfillment, and staff. This role focuses on optimizing warehouse processes, ensuring safety.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
• Logistics Coordination:
• Coordinate with transportation and logistics teams to ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods.
• Work with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure inventory levels align with operational needs.
• Collaborate with other departments to address issues that may impact warehouse operations, such as supply delays or product shortages.
• Manage the department’s budget, optimizing costs without compromising on service quality.

2. Warehouse Operations Management:
• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring goods are stored.
• Optimize warehouse layout and organization to maximize storage efficiency and improve workflow.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock accuracy to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
• Implement and manage warehouse processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce errors.

3. Inventory Control:
• Perform regular stock counts and inventory audits, reconciling discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
• Manage the rotation of goods, ensuring that older stock is used or dispatched first (FIFO method).
• Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and work with other departments to address these issues.

4. Team Management:
• Supervise and manage warehouse staff, ensuring effective communication and team collaboration.
• Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure team efficiency and compliance.
• Organize and delegate tasks based on warehouse priorities and workloads.

5. Continuous Improvement:
• Analyze warehouse performance and identify areas for process improvement.
• Implement cost-saving initiatives and best practices to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Use key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure warehouse productivity, order accuracy, and efficiency, reporting findings to management.
• Coordinate and manage quality claim with suppliers.

6. Reporting:
• Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse operations, inventory status, and team performance to senior management.
• Provide recommendations for process enhancements, cost optimization, and potential risks.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on logistics performance to senior management.

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain, with a proven track record in managing warehouse operations.
• Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a team to meet warehouse goals and productivity targets.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to analyze data and implement process improvements.
