About this position

Forvia, a sustainable mobility technology leader, is seeking a Plant Quality Manager to ensure all quality-related activities align with customer, product, and company guidelines while managing the quality system to comply with IATF16949 and enhance customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Quality Leadership: Appoint Quality Manager as the management representative and ensure alignment with FORVIA guideline and regulatory requirements.
• System Management: Assist the Plant Manager in managing quality activities, draft and manage Quality Management System documents, and implement quality policies and targets.
• Production Quality: Manage product quality during production, prevent defects, and control production quality. Report major quality incidents and provide corrective actions.
• Quality Testing: Conduct quality inspections, measurements, and testing, and manage testing equipment.
• Supplier Quality: Inspect and evaluate the quality of external procurement and subcontractors.
• Customer Focus: Handle customer quality disputes and satisfaction investigations.
• Audits: Conduct internal and external quality audits and assist in corrective actions.
• Training and Monitoring: Set quality targets, train staff, and monitor implementation processes. Take corrective and preventive measures.
• Reporting: Report on quality system performance and improvements to high-level management.
• Process Maintenance: Ensure the setup, implementation, and maintenance of the quality management system.
• Additional Tasks: Complete other tasks assigned by the manager.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, including roles in manufacturing engineering.
• Familiarity with production quality knowledge and OEMs’ quality systems is preferred.
• Skills And Competencies: TS16949 System and 5 Tools: Proficient.
• Quality Tools: Proficient in seven QC methods and 8D.
• Communication and Coordination Skills: Good.
• Language: English and Chinese proficiency.
