Engineering Change Coordinator
About this position
Responsibilities
• Engineering Change Management: Coordinate and manage the engineering change process from initiation to implementation. Review and analyze engineering change requests (ECRs) and engineering change notices (ECNs) for completeness and accuracy. Ensure timely communication and documentation of engineering changes to all relevant stakeholders.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with supply chain teams to assess the impact of engineering changes on inventory, procurement, and logistics. Work with suppliers to ensure they are informed of and comply with engineering changes. Monitor and manage the implementation of changes within the supply chain to minimize disruption.
• Manufacturing Implementation: Liaise with manufacturing teams to plan and execute the implementation of engineering changes. Ensure that manufacturing processes and equipment are updated to reflect engineering changes. Coordinate with production planning to schedule changes in a way that minimizes downtime and maintains production efficiency.
• Quality Assurance: Work closely with quality assurance teams to ensure that engineering changes meet all quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for potential quality issues arising from engineering changes. Monitor and report on the quality performance of implemented changes.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all engineering changes, including documentation, approvals, and implementation status. Prepare and present regular reports on the status and impact of engineering changes to management and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant documentation and reporting standards.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in engineering change management, supply chain coordination, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and quality assurance standards.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, PLM software).
• Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
