VME Final Assembly – Facilities Engineer (Pool Candidate)
About this position
Responsibilities
• Project planning, status review and reporting
• Project execution
• Ensuring compliance to safety policies and procedures
• Feasibility review (layout, cycle time, repeatability, operation)
• Budget estimation, planning, tracking, reporting
• Mentoring others with team
• 2d and 3d facility development from concept to mass production
• E-plan P8 drawing approval and maintenance.
• Rockwell Allen Bradley programming
• Job responsibility may extend to both FTM and AAT plants as required.
• Job will require occasional local and international travel for facility benchmarking and facility buy-off.
• Job will require work in non-production and plant shutdown times.
• RFQ development: - Should interact with cross functional team (TCF process/MP&L/PD) to develop detailed RFQ for plant setup and identify capable suppliers for implementation.
• Develop and track detailed timelines for all the new/work in progress projects and escalate any delay that will affect vehicle build timeline.
• Effectively participate in equipment design and buy off to ensure equipment’s are meeting RFQ requirements.
• Ensure equipment buy off is completed with quality test procedures to ensure equipment’s are meeting necessary delivery & quality standards.
• Identify local equipment manufacturers to deliver program within budget.
• Develop clear training plan for self and for the maintenance technicians to ensure smooth ownership transfer.
• Work with individual equipment suppliers to develop critical spares list and initiate necessary process to obtain the same.
• Work with production team to develop any small tool requirement that comes up during various pre-build phases.
• Understanding of FMEA process and ability to address issues before they occur.
Requirements
• Bachelor/master’s degree in mechanical or electrical Engineering
• Fresh Graduate or working experience in automotive standards related to position.
• Previous facility implementation is mandatory.
• Ability to use AutoCAD, Project, E-Plan, Rockwell products.
• Experienced in presenting to management forums, experience in managing project priorities and conflicts.
• Highly knowledgeable of automation safety standards
• Experience in project feasibility assessment
• Experienced in project control, tracking and reporting.
• Extensive experience in leading project design through to delivery
• Able to work with people at any level within the organization.
• Experienced in project reporting and presenting in management forums.
• High energy, self-starter, with ability and desire to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work within a very diverse (culturally and functionally) environment.
• High integrity with good attitude and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with global team.
