Environmental Compliance Engineer
About this position
Responsibilities
• Work as ECE and interface with manufacturing sites AAT/FTM/FVL and non-manufacturing sites to ensure robust legal compliance and conformance with Ford environmental requirements.
• Participate environmental/sustainability projects to provide environmental support, monitor facility and process-related field engineering, and promote Ford global environmental standards and the replication of environmental initiatives.
• Oversee EOS system operation and assess EOS health as defined by the indicators.
• Work with plant PECEs to deliver ISO14001 sample audit success.
• Support annual environmental KPI target setting, communication and monthly tracking and reporting, including gap analysis, action plan, roadmap, etc.
• Track and monitor emerging environmental regulations and forecast environmental requirements and standards in Thailand (and Vietnam).
• Lead the regulation update work in IMG, by working together with global SME, regional market lead and plant PECEs, ensure all regulatory requirements are captured in the EOS regulation matrix and updated.
• Be a subject matter expert (SME) for Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), and drive the excellence of VOC emission reduction across IMG markets, working closely with global EOQ, regional and plant teams to develop annual target, identify opportunity and review strategy.
• Be a SME for Global Material Approval (GMA) process from environmental prospective in IMG; lead the environmental implementation and approval of chemical approval process for IMG, working together with health team and operations.
• Lead the environmental messaging internally or externally to promote green manufacturing storytelling.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical or Civil).
• At least 6-8 years of relevant work experience as an environmental engineer at plant or regional level.
• Familiar with environmental regulation and ISO14001.
• Good written and spoken English language skills are necessary.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams with different cultures and locations including time-zone difference.
