About this position

Ford Thailand offers an exciting opportunity for undergraduate engineering students to gain invaluable practical experience in a leading automotive manufacturing facility. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers. The internship culminates in a project focused on a real-world challenge. All majors are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: Assist engineers in various tasks, such as process improvement initiatives.
• Project Participation: Contribute to ongoing projects within different engineering departments (e.g., Launch, Final Assembly, IT, Product Development, HR, Safety, Environment and, etc.).
• Technical Learning: Learn and apply engineering principles relevant to automotive manufacturing, including but not limited to lean manufacturing, quality control, and process optimization.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and propose solutions to engineering challenges within the manufacturing environment.
• Capstone Project: Complete a project, working independently or as part of a team, on a real-world problem within the plant. Projects may involve process improvement, data analysis, or other relevant areas.
• Collaboration: Work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering open communication and collaboration.
• Gain experience working in a diverse team with individuals from various cultural backgrounds, expanding your understanding of global perspectives and collaboration styles.

• Currently studying in 3rd or 4th year in a university.
• GPAX at least 3.00 out of 4.00
• Able to join the program onsite for 4-6 months in Ford Rayong Manufacturing Plant.
• Good command of English, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to learning.
