Oversea Purchasing Supervisor
About this position
The Oversea Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for sourcing products, selecting suppliers, and ensuring that product specifications meet company requirements while managing procurement operations effectively.
Responsibilities
• Sourcing Products and Selecting Suppliers:
• Ensure product specifications match requirements and negotiate prices aligned with company policies.
• Monitor stock levels and plan seasonal purchases based on market trends.
• Work with marketing to push new products in the market and maintain an updated item master list.
• Organize training for new employees on existing products and coordinate with suppliers for training on new products.
• Gather and compare supplier data on pricing, quality, and services to select the best suppliers.
• Coordinate with shipping companies to ensure timely delivery of products and proper clearance processes.
• Calculate product costs, analyze market conditions, and set competitive pricing.
• Handle customer import requests, including order planning, shipping, and product claims.
• Develop product formulas, control production costs, and ensure continuous product availability.
• Procurement of Raw Materials and Packaging for Affiliated Companies.
• Monthly Cost and Sales Pricing Reports for Online Retail.
• Ensure the correct issuance of production orders and update costs accordingly.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 5 years' experience in purchasing/sourcing for fresh/dried food, meat, food ingredients, seasoning, beverage and bakery would be an advantage.
• Have an experience in Food or Food related field will be a plus.
• Proven track record of successfully managing global procurement operations and achieving cost savings.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of English. Capability of 3rd Language will be advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement software.
