Business Development Associate (Fresh graduates are welcome.)
About this position
We are seeking a Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This role will focus on driving growth, building partnerships, and identifying new opportunities to expand FlowAccount’s market presence. The ideal candidate will have experience in the accounting or finance sectors, and preference will be given to those with experience in auditing, Big 4 firms, or holding CPA/CPD certifications. You will work closely with various teams, including sales, marketing, and product, to ensure that our solutions align with customer needs and industry trends.
Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and new market segments.
• Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and introduce FlowAccount's solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with accounting firms, financial service providers, and key industry stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive positioning, and areas for growth.
• Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement business development strategies.
• Work with the product team to provide feedback from the market and clients to inform product enhancements.
• Represent FlowAccount at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote our brand and solutions.
• Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and contracts to potential clients and partners.
• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a client-facing role, preferably within the accounting, finance, or auditing industries.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial software solutions.
• Preferred experience: auditing experience, working in Big 4 firms, or holding CPA/CPD certifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients and partners.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
• Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with SaaS, cloud-based solutions, and the accounting software market is a plus.
• Experience working with clients in the accounting or auditing sector.
• Knowledge of cloud-based accounting solutions.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience drafting contracts or agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales or partnership goals.
