About this position

The Toolmaker (Die Maintenance) position involves maintaining dies and ensuring effective communication and collaboration to improve quality and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Completing die and die preventive maintenance as per PM plan
• Ensuring best chance of new tool trial from careful preparation and the following of instructions
• Ensure maintenance information and data is recorded and reported correctly and systematically as instructed
• Ensure information is communicated correctly and in a timely manner among immediate team and production team
• Improving quality and productivity by working with process engineer and tool engineers by trouble shooting problems and focusing on root causes
• Actively apply the 5S standard in area of responsibility and respect it in other areas
• Follow related tasks as per supervisor’s assignment or company policy

Requirements

• At least 3 years' experience in Die Maintenance
• High Vocational, Diploma Degree or higher in Mechanical, Die making
• General machining experience (lathe, mill, EDM) would be a distinct advantage. General knowledge of them is essential
• General knowledge of metal stamping process
• Good knowledge Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Strong technical knowledge of Stamping Press Tooling. Structures, functions, limitations
