Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing our customers with a continuous stream of innovative, reliable products that support and enhance the competitiveness of our brand by applying the philosophies and tools of Learning First (Lean Development) into everyday work practices.
• Contributes and delivers against functional plans.
• Plans own work to achieve timely and effective outcomes.
• Tests and analyses a variety of concepts to create new knowledge, understand limits and develop trade-off curves in the format that is used for design decisions, and can be referred to and used by others.
• Uses knowledge gained from testing and research to design components and subsystems.
• Actively problem-solves during design using LAMDA methodology and addresses issues with performance and manufacturing as they arise.
• Applies design quality tools to ensure manufacturability and sustained quality.
• Effectively plans and coordinates a design change all the way through from concept to production.
• Proactively involves people from other teams to identify and develop excellent outcomes.
• Takes personal responsibility for developing themselves in conjunction with their Leader.
