About this position

The Financial Controller will oversee the finance and accounting team at FazWaz Thailand and DOT Property SEA, focusing on process improvement, financial data accuracy, and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the systems used by the Finance team, with a primary focus on ERP (Business Central).
• Continuously review and optimize internal processes to maximize efficiency and scalability.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual workload and improve accuracy.
• Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Ensure all accounting entries are accurate and performed in a timely manner, adhering to local requirements, IFRS, and group reporting guidelines.
• Develop and enforce standardized accounting policies and procedures.
• Lead monthly reporting, providing P&L and Balance Sheet analysis to local management and the Central team based in Spain.
• Collaborate with the CFO on cost analysis, budgeting, and forecasting exercises.
• Provide actionable insights from financial data to support strategic decision-making.
• Design and implement key financial metrics and dashboards to monitor company performance.
• Ensure adequate cash flow to support organizational operations.
• Oversee bank reconciliation processes and ensure the accuracy of reported cash positions.
• Maintain live cash flow forecasts to anticipate funding needs or surpluses.
• Identify opportunities to optimize working capital and improve liquidity management.
• Implement and monitor robust internal controls to mitigate risks, including fraud prevention and regulatory compliance.
• Ensure full compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as adherence to Group policies.
• Perform regular internal audits and support external audit requirements.
• Ensure timely and accurate local tax reporting, including VAT, WHT, and CIT.
• Optimize tax efficiency within the boundaries of applicable regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Business Central.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficient in financial reporting and analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
