About this position
The Purchasing Officer is responsible for negotiating prices, coordinating procurement of miscellaneous items and various contracts, sourcing new suppliers, market research, and analyzing market prices to benefit the company. They are also responsible for hiring contractors for construction, renovation, and repair works within the company.
Responsibilities
• Negotiate prices and coordinate procurement of miscellaneous items and various contracts
• Source new suppliers to create competition, reduce costs, and improve quality
• Conduct market price surveys, monitor and analyze various situations to predict purchasing prices for maximum benefit to the company
• Hire contractors for construction/renovation/repair works within the company
• Negotiate prices for various repair works such as vehicles
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Management, or related field
• Proficient in MS Office
• Skilled in negotiating, coordinating, detail-oriented, able to handle pressure, and solve problems effectively
• At least 2 years of experience in purchasing and contracting
• Highly responsible, good interpersonal skills, able to work well with others
