IT Security Engineer
About this position
Information cyber security engineer is responsible for protecting their organization’s computers, networks and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses or attacks by cyber-criminals. These intrusions can disrupt an organization’s information technology systems or lead to a loss of confidential information.
Responsibilities
• Safeguards information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems.
• Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
• Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities, reporting violations.
• Conducts threat and risk analysis and provides essential suggestions.
• Implements security improvements by assessing current situation; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Upgrades system by implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Collecting and analyzing data and assist in eliminating risk, performance and capacity issues.
• Handle any problems related to service provides.
• Conduct risk assessments and business impact analysis on new systems and technologies.
• Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
• Designing and developing security features for system architectures.
• Integration and deployment of the computer system security solution.
• Taking care of the built-in security systems to software, hardware, and components.
Requirements
• Education: B.S./B.ENG, M.S./M.ENG (Computer or Cyber Security or a related technical field.)
• Experience: 1-5 years of work experience in information technology.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English, Good communication skill.
• System administration.
• Network security.
• Information security policies.
• Firewall administration.
• Network protocols.
• Routers, hubs, and switches.
• Any Cisco Certified will be advantage.
• Any Cyber Security certified will be advantage.
