Health and Safety Officer / Specialist (Contractor management)

The Health and Safety Officer/Specialist will play a crucial role in contractor management and ensuring safety standards are met across various operations.
Responsibilities
• Hazard work controls
• Contractor Orientation and inspection work equipment to ensure safety
• Develop and implement a Permit to Work (PTW) system for activities such as hot work, work at height, and confined space entry
• Manage and maintain the contractor safety program to ensure that contractors and contractor owners effectively control hazardous work activities
• EHS Management System
• Support implement and maintain EHS management system based on ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Support EHS internal audit program as internal auditor
• Comply and evaluate the EHS legal, legislation, and local regulatory requirements
• Support to implement ESSILOR LUXOTTICA EHS requirement, Global EHS Policy and other related requirements
• LOTOTO program
• Support to implement LOTOTO to site
• Control the contractor to implement LOTOTO program
• Fire Protection & Prevention and Emergency Response
• Monitor and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure fire alarm system, fire protection system, fire suppression system are ready to use and do PM as planned
• Manage emergency response plans and ERT, including proper training and exercise of FFT
• Conduct regular fire and evacuation drills at least once a year
• Maintain % of trained employees “Basic Firefighting” to comply with local regulatory requirements
• Develop specific emergency response plans, including but not limited to those for natural gas, hydrogen gas, and nitrogen gas, to ensure preparedness and safety in the event of an incident
• Workplace H&S observation
• Perform routine workshop Tour
• Coordinate and execute the operation area or shop floor safety inspection by individual or with area supervisor
• Others
• Support to Implement safety programs for electrical, forklift/hand lift, hoist & crane, road safety program
• Undertake other duties as appropriate within his/her competence, as required by superior from time to time.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational health and Safety or equivalent
• Qualified as Safety Officer at Professional level
